Woman held for killing nephew

DHANBAD: The Giridih police on Wednesday arrested a 32-year-old woman for reportedly killing her two-year-old nephew at Bajgunda village under Deori police station. The accused was later referred to Giridih divisional jail.
According to the police, the incident took place at around 4:30 pm on Tuesday when the Taufik (2), son of Abdul Ansari, went to his aunt's home to watch television.
"The accused who fled from her house was arrested on Wednesday early morning," Khorimahua SDPO Anil Shankar said, adding family dispute over land could possible be the reason behind the incident. "During investigation, the woman confessed to her crime," Deori PS in-charge Sunit Kumar said. tnn
